Leslie T. White, CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRM

Founder and president of Croydon Consulting, LLC, Leslie T. White brings more than 30 years’ experience within the insurance and risk management industry to the table. For the last 10 years she has chosen to specialize in serving nonprofits as a consultant. She also serves on several boards of nonprofit organizations.

Before establishing Croydon Consulting in 2000, Leslie was Director of Risk Management Services for the Nonprofit Risk Management Center, a Washington DC-based, international resource center for community-serving organizations. The finale of her prior 20-year corporate career in the property & casualty insurance industry was as Underwriting Vice President and Officer for a regional insurance company.

Professional Experience

Consulting

Leslie consults with local, regional, national and international nonprofit organizations as to their unique insurance and risk management needs. She conducts risk assessments and insurance evaluations, and designs risk management solutions in such areas as volunteer management, transportation and board governance.

Training

Leslie designs, facilitates and teaches workshops on risk management, insurance, business planning and entrepreneurship. Croydon Consulting clients include: American Society of Association Executives, ANCOR Foundation, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation Fellows Program, Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations, National Mentoring Conference, Nonprofit Risk Management Center, Points of Light Foundation, Special Olympics Inc., United States Olympic Committee, and Volunteer Maryland.

Publishing

Leslie is in demand as an author of board governance, contract management, business continuity planning, special events, and many other risk management and insurance topics. Her articles appear in such nonprofit periodicals as Executive Update, Association Management, and Community Risk Management and Insurance. Leslie has earned the professional designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Certified Risk Manager (CRM). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Management.
